Awards! Who Said Living In a Fantasy Wasn't Fun?

HOLY TRACTORS! I won two awards. TWO. For being stylish while I sit here in my long johns, my toenails blue from the cold!! Yup baby, that's style.       ok, so I'm not in my long johns, but it is chilly, I should be.

Vicki Tremper presented me with this stylish blogger award. Thanks Vicki!!!Her site is so much fun. Vicki has been on incredible adventures. I love her stories, her ideas, her fun love of life, and her writing is an inspiration. Be sure to stop by and visit my new friend. It'll be fun, she always has a tale to tell. Ah stories.
.
Witless Exposition at Cerebral Lunchbox presented me with this styling award.
Jessica is a fellow crusader and we landed in the same group, which means we have a few things in common. That we do. We love urban fantasy, video games, great books, and our dogs-  despite their drooling faults. Check out our Interview here! Her site is one of my homes away from home, so be sure to check out my new buddy, and share in her discussions, she brings life to everything with great photos and details. Thanks Jessica!!!

OK. So on to accepting these awards. I made two lists, about myself;
SEVEN THINGS THAT CONFUSE ME and why
and
SEVEN THINGS I HATE and why
turns out they were exactly the same so here they are, summed up in one list.

1- War. How is this fun?
2- Competitive sports for kids. Why is this fun?
3- Parents who take sports for their kids tooooo seriously. Who forgot this was for the little gaffers? Cripes.
4- Query letters. Why did all my fun end here?
5- Dogs that bark in the middle of the night. Why for the love of all things written don't they sleep? not.fun.
6- Socks with holes. I just don't get why one always wears out before the other. (I always wear two socks. It just doesn't make sense and frustrates me.)
7- The fact that everything I cook burns. I just don't get how I burnt mac and dogs. I really don't.

And now. I pass this award onto 15 unsuspecting stylish bloggers. Again, I did this twice, turned out to be the same ones!

They all deserve a peek if you aren't following. If you are; yay!
All winners-- pick up your award and pass it on, give me praise and tell us 7 things about yourself. Go.

Thanks for the award. And congrats on yours! I'm verklempt! I told my now husband passion was like an old pair of socks, holes included. He's French and this DID NOT fly by him. Alas, we throw socks with holes in them out! Er, keep the passion alive????

As usual, you amaze me.
I thought I'd comment on the seven things you hate.
1. Last I heard, war is hell.
2. I agree on this one, but looking at it positively, it is, unfortunately, preperation for the real world, where war is hell.
3. I couldn't agree more. Parents who take their kids' sports too seriously should stay home.
4. I'm trying to love query letters, but it's hell.
5. I agree. But it's not the dog's fault, it's the dog owner's fault.
6. I thought socks came with holes in them.
7. I can't help you with this one. I've burnt a few meals myself.

I've had trouble posting this comment, so if you suddenly get it four times, delete three of them! :-) This is my first visit to your blog and I enjoyed your list and post. Thanks for the list of good sites to visit, and congratulations on winning the Stylish Blogger Award twice!

Richard... you got me laughing, socks do have holes in them! Love it. Always so much fun! As for the others, they are hell, no wonder they confuse me and I hate them.

Elizabeth... welcome home! Nice to meet you.

Congrats on winning two awards! Best of luck on your adventures! ;) Looks like you've listed more than a few great blogs and contests we must check out. On the way now!

Great answers! As for #5, I think that same dog must live by my house too. When it gets to noisy it then sets my dogs off...oh the fun then!

Thanks for the kind words, too! You're so sweet!

Congrats on your awards! :)

"The fact that everything I cook burns. I just don't get how I burnt mac and dogs. I really don't." - You're not alone! If my hubby didn't enjoy cooking, I'd be forced to subsist on M&Ms (hmm. You know, that actually doesn't sound too bad... ;-) )

Tanya Reimer said...

Oh Samantha that's just too funny! My husband does all the cooking around here too. I try, I really do, but I'm so easily distracted by all the other million things I juggle! M&Ms. Yum.

Congrats on your awards! I swear I'm cursed with getting holes in my socks too! I go through socks way too fast... Generally only last me a year--and I only wear them from Sept. to April! Boo.
